NSW: Unis open doors, but disappointments inevitable
New South Wales universities today open their doors to prospective students, but about20,000 applicants will miss out on today's main-round offers.
The University Admissions Centre says 47,794 offers for a place at university havebeen made today across the state and the ACT.
That's well short of the 76,000 students vying for a place.
