Vic: Man faces court following fatal stabbing
MELBOURNE, Dec 6 AAP - A man will face court today over a fatal stabbing in south western
Victoria on Monday night.
A 37-year-old Portland man charged with aggravated burglary and assault has been remanded
to appear at the Portland Magistrates Court later this morning.
One man died and another was seriously injured during the stabbing in Hurd Street,
Portland, about 11pm (AEDT) on Monday night.
Police said the stabbing occurred after a fight broke out with residents in a bungalow.
One man died at the scene while the other was flown to the Alfred hospital for treatment.
Both men were believed to be in their 30s.
Police said investigations into the incident are continuing.
